STATEMENT RE. PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE OF AEDS

It has come to the attention of Cardiac Science Corporation that some customers are being contacted by independent companies stating that a rescue ready indicator is not a guarantee that an AED will shock and consequently recommend and offer separate preventive maintenance on AEDs, including Powerheart AED G3 and Powerheart G5 AEDs manufactured by Cardiac Science, using AED/defibrillator analysis equipment and testing procedures.
Cardiac Science Corporation does not advise using defibrillation analysis equipment with our AEDs as this may lead to inadvertent damage. The preventive maintenance procedures necessary to ensure that a Powerheart AED device is RescueReady® can easily be found in the Operators and Service Manual for Powerheart AEDs.
